Anglian Water is undertaking early market engagement to inform its forthcoming procurement of Operational Technology (OT) Reseller Services. Via the engagement, the water company is seeking insight from the market to better understand supplier capabilities, service offerings, delivery models, and emerging innovations that can support the continued development and operation of its OT network infrastructure.

The objective is to establish a strategic panel of qualified resellers capable of supplying, integrating, and supporting key OT technologies across Anglian's operational environment. The water company says insights gathered will help shape future sourcing strategy and ensure it secures a commercially robust, resilient, and scalable solution that supports critical operations, regulatory compliance, and long-term business objectives.
Anglian Water’s key objectives for a future approach include:
- Securing competitive and sustainable commercial arrangements that deliver long-term value and support evolving business requirements.
- Ensuring resilience of supply through access to trusted partners with the capability to provide responsive technical support, integration services, and ongoing lifecycle management.
- Strengthening operational and cyber resilience through solutions and expertise aligned with the Network and Information Systems (NIS) Regulations 2018, the NCSC Cyber Assessment Framework (CAF), and wider industry best practice.
- Providing access to accredited technical expertise, vendor specialisms, and value-added services that enhance the performance, security, and reliability of Anglian's OT estate.
- Establishing future-ready partnerships that support innovation, technology refresh, and the increasing digitalisation and interconnectivity of operational assets.
The water company says supply chain input will play a key role in helping Anglian Water to:
- understand current market capabilities and opportunities
- ensure that future procurement approach supports operational continuity, improves asset visibility and control,
- enables the company to respond effectively to evolving business, regulatory, and cybersecurity challenges.
Current estimated total value is £1.5 million including VAT. Estimated start and end contract dates are 2 August 2027 to 2 August 2030, with a further possible extension option up to 2 August 2032.
Engagement deadline is 26 October 2026
Interested parties are requested to complete a Market Engagement Questionnaire via the SAP Ariba system by 11pm on 26th October 2026. To ensure that all parties receive the same information, interested suppliers are asked to submit any questions or requests for clarification using the messaging function. Responses to all questions will be shared with all interested parties via SAP Ariba unless the information is deemed by Anglian Water to be confidential to a particular party.
Estimated publication date of a formal tender notice is 9 November 2026.
