WRc scoops contract with Thames Water

Thames Water has awarded the Water Research Centre (WRc) a Trunk Mains Leak Detection Framework agreement.

The criterion for the award of the Framework was based on technical ability to detect and report on Leakage, as well as meeting Thames Water’s economical requirements.

The Sahara® system is deployed in live potable water mains with no disruption to customers and enables Water Utilities to pinpoint leaks in Trunk Mains constructed of any material with a diameter over 300 mm (12”).

Tony Griffiths, Managing Director at WRc comments,

"This is a really fantastic achievement and a true reflection of the quality of our staff and the service we offer. We look forward to continuing to work with Thames Water.”
