Scottish Water extends £85m plant hire tender deadline

Scottish Water has extended the deadline to express an interest in its major £85m plant hire tender from 16th June to 4th July.

The water company is looking to appoint up to 30 suppliers to its Operated Plant Services framework contract, which could run for up to 12 years.

The contract covers operated plant hire to support Scottish Water’s upcoming Capital and Operational Delivery Programmes. The equipment covers all major plant items including excavators, road rollers, dumpers, cranes (both mobile and static), vactor/jetting units, concrete pumping units etc.

The framework agreement will be for an initial period of 6 years, with a further 6 x 12 month extension options. Estimated start date for the framework agreement is April 2015.
