ANGLIAN WATER LOVER EVERY DROPOfwat is planning to allow £83.33m additional totex to enable Anglian Water to deliver components of its Direct Procurement for Customers Elsham Transfer and Treatment scheme project in-house.

Water industry regulator Ofwat has said that an increase in bills for customers is inevitable following the transfer of private sewers to water and sewerage companies in England and Wales.

The Competition Commission’s (CC) recent findings on the appeal by Bristol Water Plc against Ofwat’s decision on the prices it charges its customers raises questions in the event of potential applications by other water companies for interim price increases between now and 2015.
