Portsmouth Water has awarded an AMP8 contract for regulatory data and assurance consultancy services worth an estimated £1.5 million (excl VAT).

The procurement establishes a key framework contractfor Portsmouth Water with a delivery partner that will support Portsmouth Water’s Regulatory Affairs, Assurance and Data Reporting needs for AMP8 and potentially AMP9.
The intent is to have a contractor in place to whom the water company will allocate work for the provision of assurance services in relation to technical and non-financial regulatory data, in compliance with requirements set out by Ofwat and, where appropriate, other regulators.
Areas covered by the assurance services include:
- Annual reporting
- Charges submissions
- Price reviews and other price control submissions
- Water Resources Management Plan / Drought Plan
- Carrying out of audits
- Stakeholder engagement
