1200 jobs go in CH2M HILL global restructuring

Plans announced by CH2M HILL today to restructure the company globally will result in the loss of 1200 jobs – about 5% of the global workforce.

The Environment Agency is looking for a new Chairman for the Wessex Regional Flood and Coastal Committee (RFCC).

Scottish Water has completed more than £3.4m of investment in infrastructure in parts of the south of Glasgow and Cambuslang whichis helping to improve the natural environment of watercourses.

Five companies have won a place on Northern Ireland Water’s £10 million framework contract for screening and associated conditioning plant and equipment.

Water Security Knowledge Exchange Portal goes live

This week sees the launch of the Water Security Knowledge Exchange Portal which is focussed on helping businesses, policymakers, regulators and others see how the water-related challenges that they face have been addressed.

Northern Ireland Water has cut its everyday running costs by £7 million, according to its Annual Report and Accounts for 2013/14 published today.

Wessex Water has gone out to tender with an AMP6 contract for the hire of non-operated tools and plant worth £5.5 million.

Scottish Water has gone out to tender with a contract for ground investigation work worth an estimated £24 million.

During the past four years Thames Water, together with the Environment Agency, has traced 410 misconnections into Mayes brook – but  predict there are at least another 60,000 misconnections still to be found.
