Honeywell launches new UK water website

The UK Honeywell Water Products business within Honeywell Environmental and Combustion Controls, a part of Honeywell Automation and Control Solutions, has launched a new UK water website.

The latest State of the Nation report from the Institution of Civil Engineers is calling for a new approach to waste and resource management in the UK.

Galliford Try plc, the housebuilding and construction group, has published its latest update on trading for the half year ended 31 December 2010.  Highlights include AMP5 projects in the water sector starting to come on-stream.

Farms fined for slurry pollution

Two farms have been fined thousands of pounds this week for two separate slurry pollution incidents.

Dwr Cymru Cyfyngedig Welsh Water (DCC) has gone out to tender with a major civil engineering works framework £170M contract.

Thames Water is using a 280-strong team to identify invisible underground water leaks this winter before they escalate into big bursts above ground.

The Northern Ireland Utility Regulator has set out the terms of reference for its investigation into Northern Ireland Water’s performance during the recent water supply failures in Northern Ireland.

Mouchel rejects revised Costain offer

The Board of Mouchel has rejected the revised share offer made by Costain.

Westminster City Council have recently been shortlisted for an award by the National Joint Utilities Group (NJUG) for their use of intelligent trench technology which captures information about street works and all underground utilities exposed.

The Board of Northern Ireland Water has announced that the company’s Chief Executive, Laurence MacKenzie, on his own initiative, has tendered his resignation.
