Galliford Try plc, the housebuilding and construction Group, has announced this morning that its infrastructure business Morrison Construction has, in joint venture with AECOM Design Build, been awarded two streams of Yorkshire Water's AMP5 framework worth approximately £150 million over five years. 
Welsh Water has released tender documents inviting contractors to bid for a framework contract worth up to £156 million.

£22M-plus contract win for BW Water

Northern Ireland-based BW Water in Maghera has won a £22 million-plus contract from Northern Ireland Water Limited.
Lancashire -based Maxigiene Environmental Services have won a contract to supply Oldham Metropolitan Borough Council with Water Risk Assessments.
United Utilities, the largest listed water company in the UK, has signed a £30 million, five year deal with Cable &Wireless Worldwide to provide converged voice and data network services to its 300 UK sites including data centres, water works and two key contact centres.

Southern Water have awarded a contract for the supply of AMR meters, meter reading services and data hosting services to a company in Israel.

The Environment Agency has opened its £38 million Carlisle flood alleviation scheme, reducing flood risk to almost 3,500 homes and businesses.
Bedford Pumps have won a £3M-plus  Environment Agency contract to provide replacement storm pumps at Altmouth Pumping Station.
