Michael Gove MP is due to appear before a Parliamentary Committee this morning in a live evidence session as part of an inquiry into whether the Department of Environment, Food and Rural Affairs is ready for Brexit.
In its latest evidence session, MPs on the House of Commons Environment, Food and Rural Affairs Committee will be hearing from all of the Defra Ministers about their preparations for Brexit, particularly if the UK exits the EU without a deal.
Likely topics for discussion include trade, the food supply chain, animal welfare and Defra’s legislative programme.
Witnesses who are due to appear from 09.30am include:

- Lord Gardiner, Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State for Rural Affairs and Biosecurity
