Aqua Resources Fund Limited, the closed–ended investment company managed by FourWinds Capital Management and established to invest in global water opportunities, has issued its audited results for the year ended 31 December 2009.

Northern Ireland Water Ltd (NI Water) was fined £3,000 plus £31 court costs at Newry Magistrates’ Court on Monday for pollution offences. Last week the company received fines totalling £3,500 for two separate offences – both for making a polluting discharge to a waterway.

Anglian Water has published its financial results for the year ended 31 March 2010.

So AMP5 starts today – and with the exception of Bristol Water, all of the other water companies in England and Wales accepted the Final Determination made by Ofwat in December about how much money they could charge their customers over the next five years to finance their investment programmes.

AMEC PLC, which provides consultancy, engineering and project management services to the  energy, power and process industries, has announced “another record operating performance” with the publication today of its results for the year ending  31st December 2009.

International engineering and project management company AMEC has announced that it has acquired environmental and engineering consultancy Entec Holdings Ltd for an initial cost of £61.2m.

AECOM and Organica Ecotechnologies, the developer of an innovative ecological wastewater treatment technology, have entered into a partnership.
