The Environment Agency has accepted an Enforcement Undertaking (EU) offer from Wessex Water Services Limited, in the first case where a civil sanction has been used for an offence committed by a water company.

Thames Water pays back £86m to customers

Ofwat has today welcomed Thames Water’s agreement to pay a package worth £86 million to customers and the communities it serves, following Ofwat’s investigation into the company’s reporting of sewer flooding data in 2010.

The Met Office is launching an Early Market Engagement exercise to explore the options to replace the IBM supercomputer which currently underpins its operations.
