Specialist UK hose manufacturers Puresil-Techniflex have developed a new range of large bore potable water hoses which have recently received WRAS approval.

The WRAS approved Aqua-Pure Ultra range of potable water hoses are capable of working pressures up to 12.0 Bar and are suitable for both suction and delivery applications.

Aqua-Pure hoses can also be supplied with a WRAS approved outer rubber cover - meaning that the hose can be submersed in potable water if required.

Manufactured in the UK, Aqua-Pure Ultra is a unique range of hoses produced from smooth bore rubber that offers good flexibility and is also resistant to abrasion, weather and U.V. light sources – unlike the alternative PVC based hoses currently available from other hose suppliers. 

Techniflex Aqua- Pure Ultra Hoses are available in bore sizes ranging from 25mm up to 100 mm (1” to 4” I/D) and are produced in standard 40 metre (130 foot) coils, extended hose lengths up to 200 meters or longer can be achieved by using the Techniflex range of unique hose joining clamps and adaptors or their range of safe-Lok interlocking swaged hose end connections.

Techniflex also produce a range of ultra-clean smooth bore WRAS approved rubber hoses called Aqua-Sil which can be pre-formed 45 & 90 degree elbows and U-bends and fitted with WRAS sight glass sections.

The ultra-smooth bore, flexible and lightweight hose construction of Aqua-Sil eliminates the need to use convoluted hose at larger bore sizes. Aqua-Sil hoses can also be produced in larger bore sizes or special requirements to order at our hose production facilities in Liverpool to meet with your individual or specific hose application requirements.

Techniflex produce a wide range of swaged and re-usable hose end connections which have been designed to a hygienic standard to eliminate the dirt traps and cross contamination areas commonly found where conventional attachment methods are used to connect end fittings into flexible hoses.

Our range of end fittings include: Camlock & instantaneous quick connect couplings, ANSI & BS4504 Flanges, Tri-Clamp & Tri-Clover Flanges, RJT, IDF, DIN, SMS, ILC, DS, BSP & Metric male & female threads.

Key features include:

• Broad temperature range - from -50 up to + 150 degrees 'C'
• Pressure range up to 12.0 Bar as standard
• Hoses with increased working pressures can be manufactured to order

This new range of Aqua-Pure Ultra hoses further expands the existing Puresil Techniflex range of WRAS-approved hose products.

WRAS conformance approval is a key requirement in the UK water sector, demonstrating that a product or material complies with the exacting standards specified in the UK Water Supply (Water Fittings) Regulations. These require that a water fitting should not cause waste, misuse, undue consumption or contamination of the water supply and must be ‘of an appropriate quality and standard’.

WRAS Approval is granted directly by representatives of the water suppliers and is accepted by every water supplier in the UK.
