Another successful project recently delivered by Huber Technology saw the completion of an inlet screen upgrade at Southern Water's Pulborough Sewage Treatment works with the installation of two Ro9/700’s on an elevated inlet works.
Project Profile
Working with BTU, Southern Water's small projects delivery team, we looked at various different options to replace the old worn out 25mm Parkwood bar screen and Parkwood dewaterer. The P.E for Pulborough was 8,352. The consented FFT is 62l/s. Flows from the terminal pump station recorded flows of up to 160l/s. the existing screens were allowing unscreened influent into the balance to the storm tanks and blocking downstream pumps.

Huber Technology supplied:
- 2 Ro9/700/6 Combined Screens
- Control panels
- M&E Installation
Objective & Solution
The maximum size Ro9/700 was agreed and fitted to meet the maximum inflow of 160l/s. Also it was decided to fit 2 screens and remove the existing bypass bar screen.
