HUBER Technology will be sponsoring, exhibiting and speaking at this year’s European Biosolids & Bioresources conference taking place on 14-15 November at The Point, Old Trafford Cricket Ground in Manchester.

Come along and listen to Dale Foster, HUBER’s Area Manager, where he will presenting on “Landbank Security- Cross sector collaboration ”in the Thickening, Dewatering & Net Zero section on Day 1
Dale Foster’s presentation will look at the increasing uncertainty around landbank security, which poses a significant risk to Water and Sewage companies bioresources activities.
Any restrictions of the application of sludge to land will reduce the flexibility that currently exists relative to; agricultural needs, weather, application rates etc. Regardless of the certifications held by water companies there may significant periods where application of sludge to land is constrained.
Storage of sludge will become necessary, requiring large footprints with the space at WwTW’s generally at a premium. In addition, some treatment to reduce the volume of sludge storage will be required and there is some uncertainty around the technologies available to address this.

There are also spin off issues such as odour and the effects of storing sludge to be considered. This will require significant investment when perhaps there are some viable cross sector alternatives to the water companies building large and expensive assets they would also have to operate and maintain.Dale’s presentation will provide examples of cross sector collaboration where our proven low-mid temperature sludge drying technology- HUBER BT Sludge Dryer has provided a valuable fuel source for heat intensive industries without the need for water companies/municipalities to build new assets to deal with sewage sludge.
We will have a HUBER BT Sludge Dryer model on display at our stand so please come and see us so that we can talk you through this innovative solution.

In addition to our exhibition stand we will have a full size DfMA Containerised S-DISC Sludge Thickening unit in the car park opposite the front door. This is a great opportunity to see this innovative Plug & Play solution.
