GROUNDBREAKING SCIENTIST STRENGHTENS ACWA TEAM

 

Leading global water, wastewater and air treatment specialist ACWA Services has appointed Dr. Oscar Hernandez Ramirez as a chemical process engineer.

He will focus initially on wastewater technologies but ultimately will also provide input to the Company’s potable water business.

ACWA_DR_RAMIREZDr. Hernandez Ramirez has good credentials in the field of membrane technology and has undertaken groundbreaking research at the University of Manchester culminating in the development of novel nano-composite materials. He has also published a number of articles, including an award-winning abstract, on the topic.

Dr. Hernandez Ramirez has worked for several high-profile laboratories and at the University of Manchester itself. He was also previously with another significant player in the water and wastewater treatment sector and has been involved in design work for major schemes both in the UK and abroad, he is fluent in both English and Spanish.

His post will support ACWA’s tendering and contracting process operations and will involve, among other responsibilities, preparing conceptual process designs, conducting pilot trials, troubleshooting and on-site testing.
