GPS PE Pipe Systems has further enhanced its market-leading Protecta-Line barrier pipe range with the introduction of pupped fittings, enabling installers to use butt-fusion welding techniques.
The product launch is the latest in a series of innovations from GPS, which has also recently seen the polyethylene pipe specialist launch their new range of mechanical fittings for its Protecta-Line pipe range.
The move ensures that Protecta-Line continues to live up to its reputation as the sector’s most complete barrier pipe system, a track record that has seen Protecta-Line win a water industry innovation award, become the first system to offer fully impermeable valves and undertake the most exhaustive regime of independent testing to achieve a full system Kitemark to WIS 4-32-19.
Fabricated using Protecta-Line PE100 pipe, the new range of pupped fittings features extended spigots and can be installed using either butt-fusion or electro-fusion techniques. The range includes various shapes of pupped fittings and GPS can manufacture bespoke fittings to order, enabling specifiers to construct a Protecta-Line pipeline to suit individual project needs.
Comments GPS Product Manager Jon Briafield: “The launch of this new range of pupped Protecta-Line fittings ensures that contractors can install a fully homogenous pipeline with welded fittings, providing the ultimate in barrier pipe protection. We have updated our technical literature with the new additions to the Protecta-Line range, including installation guidelines, proving, once again, our solutions-driven approach to supporting the marketplace.”
