Thames Water is discontinuing the procurement procedure for a range of information and data management services which went out to tender in October last year.
The water company was looking to put a framework agreement in place for the following services:
- Master Data Management — Validation of data and preparation for input into SAP as part of the data change lifecycle for Thames’ assets and its associated maintenance plans.
- Reporting Services — Production of various operational performance data, together with asset management serviceability daily to monthly reporting requirements.
- Asset Data Capture — Translation and audit of network affiliated GIS updates, CAD drawings and the maintenance of site and other utility information into corporate systems.
Thames Water said the awarding procedure had been discontinued following the decision that a review of its existing services should take place, saying it was possible that the services under the tender may move into the new Technology and Transformation alliance at some point.
Thames announced the creation of a new Technology and Transformation Alliance in May to deliver its technology services and projects into the future. Accenture, Bilfinger, Deloitte and IBM are joining the current Thames Water technology teams in a long term strategic relationship.
The new Alliance, which will formally come into operation in October 2016 , will sit alongside the existing eight2O and Infrastructure Alliances.
