Severn Trent Water has applied to the Environment Agency for to vary an existing water abstraction licence it holds on Howden Reservoir to include hydro-electric power generation.
The application is to vary licence serial number 03/28/38/0018 which authorises the abstraction of water from Howden Reservoir in the Derwent Valley at National Grid Reference (NGR) SK 17 92
The variation applied for is to include hydro-electric power generation as a purpose of abstraction. All abstracted water will be returned to the same source of supply.
