The deadline is approaching for firms to apply for a place on United Utilities’ Innovation Lab programme launched last month.
The water company is looking to the market to identify innovative businesses who can help the water company to tackle key efficiency, safety and customer challenges in innovative ways.
United Utilities started the procurement process inviting innovative companies to apply for a place on its ten week Innovation Lab programme in August. Interested firms have until 18th September to submit a request to participate.
The selection process involves 3 stages of down selection - Application Stage, Ideas Stage and finally, Pitch Day when the top scoring candidate in each lot will be awarded a place in the Innovation Lab along with the 3 next highest scoring candidates from all lots.
The 10-week programme will be run in collaboration with corporate innovation specialist and early-stage investor L Marks. L Marks builds bridges between large corporates seeking to innovate more quickly with companies with disruptive technologies, products and services.
Each programme is tailored to deliver real solutions to the corporate partners and create real opportunities for businesses to test and grow their product with a major partner.
Successful candidates will be co-located and mentored by senior United Utilities business leaders and get access to test, improve and demonstrate their product/service in live customer environments to key experts and decision makers.
The Innovation Lab will start on 5th February 2018 and finish on 4th May 2018.
