Dwr Cymru Welsh Water’s £3.4 million investment to upgrade the water network in Aberystwyth is on track to be completed by July 2022 - Project Manager, Jonathan Davies said the work in Aberystwyth has been progressing well since February.

The investment by the not-for-profit company will see improvements carried out to the water network.
The work has already seen an investment of £1.6 million made at the Cefn Llan Water Treatment Works with a further £1.8 million upgrade set to be carried out in the area.
Working with contract partners Morrisons Utilities, Welsh Water is set to replace 353 metres of water mains and clean another 26 kilometres.
The water company will be using an innovative technology during certain parts of the project to replace and cleanse sections of the water main without having to dig up sections of the road. The technique will help minimise disruption and allows the utility company to complete the work much quicker when compared to more traditional methods.
The project formed part of a multi-million-pound investment made by the not-for-profit company to improve services to customers and help protect the environment. Between the current AMP7 period 2020 to 2025 Welsh Water is set to invest a further £1.8 billion across the country.
