Severn Trent Plc has today published its Annual Report and Accounts for financial year ending 31 March 2026 and Notice of the company’s forecoming Annual General Meeting.

Three weeks ago Severn Trent announced “another year of exceptional growth” in its preliminary announcement of annual results for the year to 31 March 2026, with £1.9 billion invested in 2024-25, performance incentives ahead of expectations and an upgraded earnings outlook for 2028.
The utility says the acceleration of over £450 million (2022/23 prices) of AMP8 spend into the final two years of AMP7 contributed to a strong start, with capital investment levels smooth as we moved from AMP7 to AMP8.
Severn Trent achieved all of its year one Price Control Deliverables targets for AMP8 which cover water mains replacement and metering programmes and also delivered ahead of schedule on several of its phosphorus removal and storm overflow commitments.
Looking further ahead in the 2025-30 investment programme, the utility has also applied for additional investment totalling £481 million in critical areas under Ofwat’s cost change re-opener process for AMP8.
Severn Trent has submitted investment proposals in two areas – asset health and growth. This includes bringing forward investment in service reservoirs, treated water storage tanks, boreholes and sewers, to help to spread costs more fairly across current and future customers.
The utility has also proposed that the additional investment, if agreed by Ofwat later in 2026, should be added to the RCV and customers’ bills from 2027/28 which means the impact over and above its existing AMP8 plans by 2029/30 will be an additional £8 on the average household bill.
In addition to its regulated water and wastewater businesses Severn Trent Water and Hafren Dyfrdwy, Severn Trent’s Infrastructure Services division operates a UK-based portfolio that complements the Group’s core competencies including:
- Operating Services - provides a variety of operational water and wastewater services to private businesses across the UK.
- Severn Trent Green Power - generates renewable energy from anaerobic digestion, hydropower, wind turbines and solar technology.
- Network Services - integrates IWJS and Watertight, securing critical operational capability, retaining value and strengthening resilience to support Severn Trent’s AMP8 delivery.
Severn Trent says it is “well positioned to capitalise on market opportunities” in these areas
The 2026 AGM of the Company will be held at 10.00am on Thursday, 9 July 2026 at the Severn Trent Academy, Garfield Park, St. Martins Road, Finham, Coventry, CV3 6PR.
