Northumbrian Water Group has set out the details of AMP6 6 Tier 1 alliance contracts worth more than £1 billion - the Group has announced a further five framework agreements with five companies, worth £500 million, to upgrade its network of sewer and water pipes and water and wastewater treatment assets.

United Utilities has appointed J. Murphy & Sons Limited to design, build and commission works in connection with the replacement of Harrowside Outfall in Blackpool located just south of Blackpool Pleasure beach.
