Northumbrian Water is encouraging customers who are having difficulty paying their bills to take the first step and come forward for help as part of National Debt Day.

South East Water has expressed concern that a plan by National Grid to run pylons through its land as part of the Richborough Connection Project will put at risk proposals to create a reservoir at Broad Oak near Canterbury - the reservoir would secure the area’s future water supplies.

Water specialist Graf UK expands into Ireland

Water management specialist Graf UK has expanded its operations to Ireland after experiencing considerable growth– and is now providing its full range of stormwater management, rainwater harvesting and wastewater treatment solutions to projects across the country.

In its latest trading update, Galliford Try has announced that its construction order book has increased to £3.7 billion (2014: £3.2 billion) in an improving market.

Southern Water has set outs its approach to flooding following a number of flooding incidents it is currently dealing with due to the severe weather – including a pledge to invest a total of £268 million on flood protection schemes up to 2020.

Severn Trent Water has started work a scheme costing more than half a million pounds to prevent sewer flooding in Normanton in Nottinghamshire.

Portsmouth Water has set out details of its Charges Schemes for 2016/17 in a letter to Cathryn Ross, Ofwat Chief Executive, quantifying the price changes its customers will see in their water bills from 1 July 2016.

 

The NI Water team working on the Bangor Sewerage Improvement Programme has won a prestigious CEEQUAL award (Civil Engineering Environmental Quality Assessment) in recognition of their work to upgrade a Pumping Station at Luke’s Point, Ballyholme in Bangor, as part of the overall programme of improvements.
