Thames Water to set up £57m AMP6 engineering and professional services Register

Thames Water has issued a Qualification System notice to set up a new Register for engineering and professional consultancy services worth up to £57 million in AMP6 - with the potential to extend into AMP7 and AMP8.

The water company is setting up a new Register for Professional Services to replace certain elements of its existing qualification system.

Anyone qualified on the current qualification system or any other qualification system is required to reapply for qualification if they want to be considered for framework agreements or contracts in relation to the following Lots set out on the new Register.

The total spend on Professional Services listed against each Lot has been estimated over the remainder of AMP6, although the exact proportion of spend that will be sourced via the Register is currently unknown. Any Framework Agreements set up through the Register will cover the remainder of AMP6 and will have the potential to extend the arrangements to the AMP7 and AMP8 periods respectively.

Thames Water is inviting applications for any or all of the following Lots.

Lot 1 — Engineering Consultancy (£3m to £5m)

Lot 2 — Commercial Consultancy (£3m to £5m)

Lot 3 — Environmental Consultancy (£5m to £7m)

Lot 4 — Dispute Resolution (£5m to £10m)

Lot 5 — Business Consultancy (£20m to £30m)

Successful applicants will become part of the Thames Water Professional Services Register. Although being on the Register does not give the supplier any guarantee of work, but may enable the supplier to bid for framework agreements, and contracts for individual projects, to be set up through the Register from time to time.

Framework agreements set up from the Register may be available for use by Thames Water's AMP6 Alliances partners or others authorised by Thames Water.

To be considered for the first phase of awards from the Register, a PQQ to apply for acceptance on the Register requires completion by midday on 14 December.

The first phase of Framework Agreements under the Register, which itself has no set expiry date, will commence in January 2016.

The Framework Agreements will cover the remainder of AMP6 and will have the potential to extend the arrangements to the AMP7 and AMP8 periods respectively.
