Thames Water is planning to hold a market consultation day as part of its initiative to raise market awareness about its requirements and to inform its forthcoming legal services procurement strategy.
The water company’s core legal services are currently delivered under a Managed Legal Services Agreement between TWUL and a law firm. The range of legal services delivered under the MLS Agreement is broad and includes employment, commercial, construction, regulation, competition and property law matters.
There are also a number of ‘out of scope’ legal services provided under the Agreement, including advice related to Thames Tideway Tunnel, Price Review work and financing related legal advice. The utility intends to commence the legal services procurement early in 2017 to replace and reshape the MLS Agreement upon its expiry in March 2018.
Thames Water is reserving the right to divide the contract scope into packages and award 1 or more Lots. More information on Lots and packaging strategy will be available at the consultation event and confirmed in the call for competition.
The water company is planning to hold a consultation event in December 2016.
