United Utilities has awarded a framework contract for interworks sludge tankering services worth an estimated £19 million.
The contract covers the provision of interworks tankering services which may be required anywhere within the North West of England to assist United Utilities in house fleet in managing variations in sludge production.
The following 11 companies have all won places on the framework, with a total of 35 contracts awarded across 10 separate Lots covering the water company’s Southern and Northern Regions.

The contracts have been awarded for an initial 5 year period, with extension options up to a maximum of 3 years.
