NI Department for Infrastructure tenders £3m-plus watercourse maintenance contract for 2020

The Department for Infrastructure in Northern Ireland has gone out to tender with a contract watercourse maintenance for 2020 worth an estimated £3.275 million.

The contract for Watercourse Maintenance 2020 is being tendered in four separate Lots. Within each contract area, the works to be undertaken include the following principal work activities: 

  • maintenance of watercourses
  • site clearance
  • tree felling/removal
  • provision of labour/plant.

DfL may also look to suppliers to provide further ancillary works e.g. treatment of aquatic weed in open water.The contract is being tendered in four separate Lots on a regional basis:

Lot 1  Eastern Region

Lot 2 Coleraine.

Lot 3 Omagh

Lot 4 Fermanagh

Initial contract term is 3 years with further extension options available.
