NI Water tenders £3.6m contract for statutory inspection of lifting equipment and pressure systems

NI Water has gone out to tender with a contract for statutory inspection of lifting equipment and pressure systems worth an estimated £3.6 million.

The purpose of this contract is to enable NIW to comply with current legislative requirements relating to the inspection and certification of lifting equipment and pressure systems.

Scope of contract includes:

  • independent, competent examination, assessment and reports on equipment
  • records of inspections on equipment
  • management information reports
  • maintenance requirements for equipment and competent professional services in relation to duties and tasks required to ensure legislative compliance

The water company is looking to appoint a single supplier to the contract which will run for an initial term of 3 years - with further extension options.
