Portsmouth Water has issued a Periodic Indicative Notice notifying prospective suppliers of its intention to award an AMP8 contract for service reservoir inspection and maintenance services worth up to an estimated £2 million in total.
Portsmouth Water has 36 service reservoirs which will require a risk based programme to be identified and agreed for the upcoming AMP8 Asset Management Period 2025 to 2030.
The water company is advising interested suppliers to ensure they are suitably registered in the Achilles Utilities Vendor Database (UVDB) prior to 13th December 2021, ahead of the selection process.
Services required under the contract will include:
- reservoir inspections, reservoir cleans and disinfection
- flood tests
- risk assessments
- inspection reports
- small to medium civil works
Suppliers will also be required to support remotely operated vehicle (ROV) inspections where necessary.
Value of work is estimated to be approximately £330,000 per annum with an estimated total maximum value of £2 million.
The successful supplier will be required to work collaboratively with the client in order to agree and finalise the programme of works.
