Scottish Water has gone out to tender with a framework contract for the supply of water sampling kiosks worth up to an estimated £28 million in total.

The water company is looking to appoint supply chain partners to provide a variety of modular water sampling kiosks to be assembled in a ‘factory’ environment. Scottish Water is looking for the supply of tested and fully functional units of a standardised and repeatable design for delivery to site ready for off-loading to a pre-prepared foundation slab or final installation area.
Water sampling kiosks are used to monitor the water quality produced at Scottish Water sites and within its networks to provide accurate samples for analysis and meet regulatory compliance requirements.
The Scottish Water area covers all mainland and islands of Scotland including urban and rural locations. The company’s preference is that framework suppliers should be able to deliver pan Scotland, although successful suppliers will be allocated a geographic location
A standard product range (a complete design with full support documentation) will be used to ensure efficient delivery of quality compliant standardised kiosks that provide a safe and effective working environment for samplers across the Scottish Water estate.
Scope of the contract will include:
Off-site fabrication/assembly of Water Sampling Kiosks including associated components, pipe work, sample taps, electrical installation, and control systems.
Water sampling kiosks of various options including various sizes, non powered suitable for extracting water sample based on available pressure, mains powered to enable a pumped water sample and solar panel powered with batteries.
Scottish Water is also looking for factory finished assemblies to be developed using proprietary modular equipment and associated components sourced from Scottish Water’s current framework agreements and the open market.
Initial contract term is 4 years with up to 4 further annual extension options.
Time limit for receipt of tenders or requests to participate is 21 October 2022 – click here to access the tender documentation.
