Southern Water has gone out to tender with a contract for non domestic natural gas supply and associated services worth an estimated £2.3 million.

The water company is looking to onboard a single OFGEM registered framework provider for non-domestic natural gas supply across the sites within its portfolio, starting from 1st April 2024. The portfolio currently consists of 18 sites across South East England, with total annual consumption of approximately 2.5GWh.
Main objectives to be achieved through a competitive procurement process are continuity of supply, security of supply chain, flexible and fixed products, optimized quality and value of services offered and transparency of the supply chain.
The scope of tender incorporates non-domestic natural gas supply and associated services, including:
- contract & billing management
- performance management & reporting
- legislation and market updates
- asset services
- innovations
- green gas certificates/renewable gas
- gas export
Initial term of the framework agreement is 4 years with possible extension options for up to a further 4 years.
