Northumbrian Water Group are looking for Expressions of Interest from suppliers to join its framework for smart metering installation works and services in the Northumbrian Water (NW) and Essex and Suffolk (ESW) operating areas.

NWG are looking for installation partners to support its ongoing Smart Metering Transformation programme. The scope of the works covers external and internal meter exchanges and new smart meter installations, for both household and non-household premises.
Installation partners will be responsible for a range of activities, including:
- tactical planning
- premises surveys
- excavation
- backfill and reinstatement
- traffic management
- meter and communication device installation
- meter issue resolution as required as part of the installation requirements.
The requirement will be split into the following three Lots - suppliers are invited to express their interest against one/multiple/all lots.
- Lot 1 - Northumbrian Operating Area
- Lot 2 - Essex Operating Area
- Lot 3 - Suffolk Operating Area
Estimated framework award date is November 2024 with a start date in Q1 2025.
The initial framework term is 36 months with the option to extend for up to an additional 60 months (a number of extensions can be taken up until the framework expiry date)
