Southern Water has gone out to tender with an AMP8 contract for fleet management & telematics services with an estimated total value of £45 million.

Area of interest is Fleet Management Services & Telematics including SMR Management of current fleet (leased and owned), ongoing driver risk management, management of hire vehicles, funding for new leased vehicles, and provision and management of telematics units.
Scope of the procurement will look to include the following services:
Vehicle Funding (business need cars & light commercial vehicles)
Plant & Trailer Funding
SMR Management (incl tyres and windscreens)
Driver Risk Management (incl license checks, driver training)
Accident Management (incl roadside assistance/recovery, repair management)
Rentals Management (incl short, medium & long term as well as planned and reactive)
Vehicle Reallocation & Disposal
Build Management
General Admin
Telematics Units (incl installation, ongoing service & maintenance and disposal)
Initial contract term is five years with a further extension option of up to three years.
