The Environment Agency has launched an early market engagement exercise for its upcoming £243 million Saltfleet to Gibraltar Point Coastal Asset Management scheme.

The Environment Agency (EA) has issued a Prior Information Notice seeking expressions of interest from organisations to participate in pre-market engagement activity in relation to the forthcoming procurement of a construction contract to support the Saltfleet to Gibraltar Point Coastal Asset Management project.
The EA said the aim of the questionnaire is to gather additional feedback from the market which will help to develop the procurement strategy for this requirement.
However, the procurement currently remains subject to approval and the EA does not intend to be bound by any information at this stage. The Agency is also making no commitment to incorporate any recommendations or suggestions within the final procurement documents.
The EA said that all information provided is subject to change including the programme, contract value and is not a guarantee of the level of work that will be generated through any future contract.
The deadline for return of the Pre-Market Engagement Questionnaire is 17:00pm Friday 16 August 2024.
The estimated date for publication of a formal contract notice is April 2025.
