Severn Trent is seeking supply chain input on cameras ahead of a forthcoming procurement for pipeline inspections equipment.

Both Severn Trent and sister company Hafren Dyfrdwy Cyfyngedig have a requirement for the ongoing supply of underground pipeline inspection cameras and accessories (water and wastewater), servicing, maintenance and repair.

The utility has issued a Preliminary Market Engagement notice inviting interested suppliers to complete a brief form with their company name name, website and contact details by 10 April 2025 and to confirm that:

  • they currently supply underground pipeline inspection equipment to survey water and wastewater pipelines including cameras and accessories in the UK
  • they currently offer servicing, repairs and maintenance of pipeline inspection equipment including cameras and accessories in the UK

Contract dates are currently estimated to run from 1 July 2025 to 1 July 2027.

Severn Trent says it is keen to engage with interested suppliers to help design and tailor a sourcing strategy and procurement process that meets its requirement but is also suitable to the widest group of suppliers.

Response to the pre market engagement is optional and does not contribute to any procurement process.

Severn Trent said it will then be in touch with suppliers who complete the form - click here to access the form online
