Southern Water has awarded an AMP8 contract for CHP carbon tank replenishment and testing worth an estimated £1.25 million.

Scope of the contract covers:
- sampling and analysis of filter tanks on CHP engines
- replenishment of tanks including transport, emptying, cleaning & refill
- emission testing of CHP engines.
The contract had an estimated value of £2.5 million (exc. VAT) when the water company went out to tender in October 2024 to put a framework agreement in place with a single operator.
County Durham-based firm C.C. Jensen Ltd has been awarded the contract which will run for four years.
