Turner & Townsend has been appointed by Thames Water as a Regulatory Assurance Provider for its AMP8 investment programme.

The global professional services company will support the UK’s largest water company in delivering enhanced transparency, accountability and performance across its regulatory reporting.
The five-year programme, titled the Thames Water AMP8 Ofwat Assurance Consultancy, will see Turner & Townsend deliver independent assurance and regulatory advisory services across a number of critical aspects of Thames water’s investment planning and delivery.
This includes working alongside other partners to support the development of company-wide delivery plans for the 2025–2030 AMP8 programme, as well as overseeing Price Control Deliverables (PCDs), which are used to track delivery and benefits of investment.
The work will also include assurance for large, gated schemes, delivering robust governance through the lifecycle of major projects. Additionally, Turner & Townsend will provide oversight for Asset Improvement Gated Allowances, introducing a dynamic approach to assessing customer protection, promoting evidence-based investment decisions, and reinforcing performance accountability.
