Environment Agency goes out to tender with £40M waterway construction contracts

The Environment Agency has gone out to tender with a waterway construction contract.worth up to £40 million.

The Agency is looking to appoint a minimum of 10 companies to the Midlands and Anglian minor works framework contract, which will run for four years.

The contract will cover smaller civil engineering and maintenance works on watercourses. Types of work to be covered include:

  • Delivery of low complexity civil construction works;
  • Maintenance works of watercourses and structures utilising waterborne plant and equipment;
  • The design, manufacture and installation of fabricated static steel and aluminium structures for use on or near watercourses.
