United Utilities will host a contractor day later this month to set out its plans for its AMP6 framework arrangements, which could potentially extend into AMP7.
The water company plans to award several Construction Delivery Partner frameworks for the upcoming AMP6 regulatory period, running from 2015-2020. UU said the frameworks could potentially extend into the AMP7 programme, running from 2020-2025.
UU estimates its spend over the AMP6 programme to be between £2 billion and £3 billion, with annual value of work in each year of the period ranging between £120 million and £370 million.
The Supplier Engagement Day will run on 24 April 2013 – interested parties should email This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it for more information.
The Construction Delivery Partner frameworks comprise activities including but not limited to investigation, design, programme/project management, construction, testing, commissioning, operator training and performance optimisation of works comprising new build, repair, replace and/or maintenance as may be required for a range of projects.
Projects will comprise works on a wide range of potable and non-potable water & wastewater infrastructure, including water & wastewater treatment works, pipelines, pumping stations, service & impounding reservoirs, sludge (energy) treatment, instrumentation, mechanical and electrical installation.
It is envisaged that the majority of typical projects will range in value between £500,000 and £20,000,000.
