Six major consultancies have been appointed to the Environment Agency’s (EA) National Contaminated Land Consultancy Framework, worth around £10 million.
AMEC, ArcadisECHarris, Hyder Consulting, Jacobs, Parsons Brinckerhoff and URS were all awarded places on the four-year framework.
The framework is for the provision of consultancy services associated with contaminated land investigation, remedial appraisal, design and validation, and related activities commonly commissioned by regulatory bodies.
The work includes investigation and remedial evaluation of land potentially causing pollution of controlled waters under sections 161 to 161D of the Water Resources Act 1991 as well as pollution assessment and remedial evaluation works under the Water Framework Directive.
According to the OJEU, each company has around a £1.7 million share of the framework.
