Scottish Water has gone out to tender with a contract worth £48 million for a wide range of pumps.
The utility is looking to appoint up to ten suppliers to the framework agreement, which could run for up to twelve years including extension options.
The framework is to supply, install and test pumps as part of pump and pumping station installations for the following pump categories:
Lot 1 Clean Water
- Cat 1 Split Casing
- Cat 2 End Suction
Lot 2 Clean Water
- Cat 1 Borehole Single & Multistage
Lot 3 Waste Water
- Cat 1 Sludge Diaphragm
- Cat 2 Sludge Ram
- Cat 3 Chopper
- Cat 4 Progressive Cavity
- Cat 5 Rotary Lobe
Lot 4 Waste Water
- Cat 1 Sewage & Thin Sludge,Centrifugal & Mixed flow submersible (wet or dry mounted)
- Cat 2 Sewage & Thin Sludge,Vortex submersible or conventional end suction
- Cat 3 Sewage & Thin Sludge,Screw impeller submersible or conventional end suction
- Cat 4 Sewage 7 Thin Sludge,Dry well close or long coupled.
Potential suppliers will be required to provide certification from an independent body attesting conformity to environmental management standards in accordance with the Community Eco-Management and Audit Scheme (EMAS) or the European standard BS EN ISO 14001.
