AMAZON FULFILMENT CENTRE GENERICOfwat has rejected an appeal by Amazon against Severn Trent’s decision to refuse its application to discharge trade effluent from its distribution site to Branton Wastewater Treatment Works.

UISCE EIREANN LOGOUisce Éireann, in partnership with Water Stewardship Ireland and the Sustainable Enterprise Skillnet, is launching a new Advanced Water Stewardship Programme, now open to all trade effluent business customers.

Scott Bader pay £17K+ for chemical leak

Chemical manufacturer Scott Bader has been fined £10,000 and ordered to pay £7,656 costs after xylene leaked undetected from its Wollaston Hall site near Wellingborough.

A Stratford company that processes animal bi-products has been prosecuted for discharging toxic levels of contaminants into the sewerage system.

United Utilities is reminding businesses to stick to agreed limits regarding trade effluent consent after a  Cheshire business was fined £15,000 for breaking the law.

Successful prosecution by Severn Trent Water

Jersey Colours Ltd has been fined nearly £10,000 for exceeding the colour limit in its trade effluent consent with Severn Trent Water.
