Uisce Éireann, in partnership with Water Stewardship Ireland and the Sustainable Enterprise Skillnet, is launching a new Advanced Water Stewardship Programme, now open to all trade effluent business customers.

The fully funded training initiative is designed to support businesses in addressing trade effluent and water quality challenges, while also helping them prepare for upcoming regulatory changes and develop strategies to manage trade effluent charges effectively.

Water quality and sustainability are becoming increasingly vital in today’s regulatory and operational landscape, and the new programme offers direct, site-focused support. It empowers businesses to take proactive measures that protect water quality, lower operational costs, and enhance sustainability credentials.

Programme benefits include:

• Protect water quality – Gain practical training on improving water quality and implementing site-specific actions that drive behavioural change

All participants will also create a Water Charter for their site – a tailored plan that identifies key risks and solutions, maps drainage and water use, and supports reduction, reuse and restoration of water on site.

The programme is ideally suited to professionals responsible for water management in facilities that produce trade effluent. It builds both individual and organisational capability, with immediate benefits at site level.
