carbon trust reportA new report from the Carbon Trust says investment to create demand for energy efficiency and reduce project risks in emerging economies will be critical to mobilising the scale of energy efficiency capital required to meet climate change targets.

The UK is continuing to lose renewables investor appeal, while Europe has regained ground, according to the latest bi-annual Ernst & Young Global Ltd (EY) renewable energy country attractiveness index (RECAI) published today.

The EU-funded MaRINET project which has given researchers and developers free access to wave, tidal and offshore-wind energy test infrastructures and has harmonised test practices will be followed by a second MaRINET 2 project under the EU's Horizon 2020 programme.
