Latest river basin planning consultation

The latest stage of the Environment Agency’s river basin planning consultations under the upcoming Water Framework Directive has just been launched. The Summary of Significant Water Management Issues sets out what the Environment Agency believes are the most significant issues that face each River Basin District. The Agency is inviting comment at an early stage in the process in view of the potentially significant impacts of the information and proposals for individuals, environmental interests and business. The consultation period is open until 24 January 2008 with respondents able to make their submissions online.
