Leading global water technology company Xylem Inc. has reported that its solutions helped to reduce the energy consumption of a wastewater treatment plant in Italy by 65%.

A new £20 million three-year programme that will support research to develop new low carbon manufacturing processes and technologies, low carbon cities and offshore renewables in the UK and China was agreed yesterday.

The New York City Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) Catskill-Delaware Ultraviolet Disinfection Facility, the largest ultraviolet water treatment facility in the world, has been chosen as a 2013 “Best of the Best Projects”.

The latest European Innovation Union Scoreboard suggests that the United Kingdom is lagging behind its competitor countries on innovation performance - the lowest innovation growth rates were recorded in Sweden, the UK and Croatia.

Bluewater Bio International, a leading provider of innovative high-performance, cost-effective water and wastewater treatment technologies, has received the ‘Best Process Technology’ award at this year’s prestigious Water and Energy Exchange (“WEX”) Global Innovation Awards.
