Retail sector: Peel Water to opportunistically acquire large customers

Peel Water Ltd has said it will continue to “opportunistically acquire” large customers from within the Peel group and select third party partners over the next three years as part of its business strategy for the retail water sector.

The approach forms part of Peel’s business plan which accompanies the firm’s application submitted to Ofwat for retail water and sewerage licences ahead of market opening in April this year.

Peel Water  said it will extend the services it currently provides to its existing customer base of large water users within the Peel Group after market opening.

The company’s customer base currently includes MediaCityUK, Intu Trafford Centre, Trafford Quays, Liverpool International Business Park, Robin Hood Airport, Calder Park, Weaste Development Area and Princes Dock.

Deadline to submit representations or objections about the application is 3 February 2017.
