2013 BlueTech Forum “New Entrants in the Water Game” to explore changing face of water industry

What’s the outside appeal of the water industry? With companies outside of the water industry developing an interest in water markets and technology, BlueTech Forum’s “New Entrants in the Water Game” panel explores this question.

In the past years, the water industry has seen larger players enter into the “water game” in an attempt to take advantage of the potential profits in water and wastewater markets.

The strategy adopted by some of these new entrants appears to focus on particular areas where they have a clearly defined 'right to win’ based on their core capabilities and expertise.  At a corporate level, what makes the water sector an attractive opportunity for growth? What niches will these companies look at to build high margin, profitable and differentiated businesses?

This panel will hear from a diverse group of new entrants and will explore how they are likely to change the competitive landscape. Steve Kloos. Partner at True North Venture Partners will moderate this discussion, with confirmed speakers including Yannick Fovet, Global Head of Innovation at BASF; Jeroen van Nunen, Senior Officer New Business Development at Fujifilm; and Kaj Jansson, Director at Outotec Service Solutions.
