Ofwat has granted water management specialists Waterscan Ltd a water supply and sewerage licence ahead of competitive retail market opening in April.
The company is planning to support multi-site clients in the retail, hospitality and leisure sectors via a new Retail Service which will operate as a separate business unit from its existing water management business. The firm said its core service will be to provide accurate client billing data to wholesalers, retailers and clients.
Waterscan’s existing client base includes Tesco, Sainsbury’s, Whitbread and Premier Inn.
