United Utilities seeks market input for Crewe WwTW sludge disposal options

United Utilities is seeking market input on possible sludge disposal options from its Crewe Wastewater Treatment Works.

The utility has a requirement to treat, transport and possibly dispose of around 19,000 tonnes of untreated sludge from its Crewe WwTW for a 2 year period between 2018 — 2020.

United Utilities is inviting suppliers to provide details of their proposed solution for the requirement in the form of outline proposals at this stage, which could potentially include one or more case studies demonstrating previous contracts of a similar nature, together with an outline budgetary estimate.

Deadline to respond is 5th July 2017 – the water company plans to go out to formal tender in September this year.
